A Festa de carnaval realizado no passado dia 18 Fevereiro 2017 foi mais uma vez um absoluto sucesso. Contamos com 180 participantes. Criancas e adultos desfilaram com as suas mascaras recreando o carnaval de Cabo Verde. Para finalizar a grande festa de carnaval o grupo juvenil dos pequeninos e dos jovens arrebataram muitos aplausos com as suas dancas, protestando contra as guerras e injusticas que acontecem no mundo.
- O Carnaval de Cabo Verde comecou no seculo VII BC , com o entrudo( origem Portuguesa).
- 1920 grupos comecaram por organizar um carnaval mais sofisticado e moderno influenciado pelo carnaval de Veneza/Italia.
- Brazil tem influenciado alguns aspectos do carnaval de Cabo Verde
- O carnaval de Cabo Verde em particular da Ilha de Sao Vicente atrai um numero consideravel de turistas todos os anos as nossas ilhas.

- The Carnival Party held on February 18, 2017 was once again an absolute success. We had 180 participants. Children and adults paraded with their masks recreating the Cape Verde carnival. To conclude the great carnival party, the youth group( little and young adults) were very much applauded for their dances, protesting against the wars and injustices that are happening in the world.
• Cape Verde started celebrating the Carnival in the VII century with the entrudo (Portugues heritage)
• 1920 (organized groups started celebrating a more sophisticated and modern carnival in Sao Vicente, St Nicolau influenced by the carnival from Veneza/Italy.
• Brazil has been influencing some aspects of Cape Verde’s carnival
• Cape Verde carnival in particular from the Island of Sao Vicente attracts every year a considerable number of tourists to our Islands
